Graham Stetson, OD, MS
Doctor of Optometry, Owner

Dr. Graham Stetson founded Modern Eyes to bring advanced, patient-first eye care to the Norwood community. Before becoming an Optometrist, he spent 15 years as an Optician, later earning both his Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science from the New England College of Optometry, where he researched ocular surface disease. He completed an Ocular Disease residency at the Boston VA Medical Center in Brockton.
Dr. Stetson provides comprehensive eye exams, manages ocular disease and refractive error, fits soft and rigid contact lenses, and co-manages surgical and complex medical cases. He has published research on ocular surface disease and lectured on retinal physiology.
Outside the office, he enjoys cooking from his garden, woodworking, and exploring new cities.

Adamarie Carrasquillo

Adamarie (“Ada”) joined Modern Eyes at the very beginning, bringing warmth, professionalism, and a strong patient-first mindset. Her background spans a wide range of medical and community settings, supported by her Health Sciences degree from Bristol Community College, phlebotomy training, and Office Manager Certification from PECAA.
She has worked in pediatrics, primary care, and oncology, gaining skills in patient care coordination, billing, insurance navigation, EMR documentation, and bilingual Spanish interpretation. Prior to Modern Eyes, she spent more than a decade as a Medical Case Manager and Health Access Counselor, guiding individuals living with chronic illness and helping families access essential services.
Ada’s blend of healthcare experience, empathy, and organization makes her an invaluable part of the team. Outside work, she enjoys time with loved ones and traveling to Puerto Rico.

Barbara Harold
Receptionist

Barbara is one of the most beloved members of the Modern Eyes team. After a 40-year career with the U.S. Postal Service, she transitioned into eye care, bringing exceptional customer service skills and a strong community-focused work ethic.
Her experience in a local optometry practice helped her build a working knowledge of the field, and her warm, generous nature makes patients feel immediately at ease. Barbara takes pride in helping people see more clearly and supporting the team however she can.
Outside the office, she loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, doting on her white Bichon, and baking treats for family, friends, and the team.
Jamie F. Lewis
Medical Billing & Coding Specialist

Jamie brings a steady, compassionate presence to Modern Eyes. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she excelled academically and served in student leadership.
Her career spans healthcare administration, fellowship coordination, skilled nursing operations, and customer service management. She has a strong background in scheduling, finance, vendor relations, and process improvement—skills she now uses to enhance patient experience and support the clinic’s workflow.
Organized and self-motivated, Jamie loves learning, problem-solving, and building meaningful relationships with patients and colleagues. Outside of work, she enjoys life as a wife and mother of six and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles.

McKenzie Simmons

Cheerful and outgoing, McKenzie is a dynamic and welcome addition to the MODERN EYES team. Her innate curiosity and empathic mentality mean she is always looking to learn more and find better ways to help patients.
McKenzie attended Tulane University, where she completed a Bachelor of Science double-majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. Following graduation, she worked at a group home for people with special needs where her level-headed approach and natural leadership skills stood out. She was quickly promoted to lead the team of counselors and caregivers who supported and guided the residents towards independence.
While new to the eye care field, McKenzie’s compassionate nature, educational background, and leadership experience make her a great addition to the team. She is eager to learn all she can and plans to become an optometrist one day.
A native New Englander, in her time off McKenzie enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors and caring for her large (part-Maine Coon) cat.

Smithaamukhi (“Smitha”) brings a curious mind and a genuine passion for patient care to Modern Eyes. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Cognitive Science, where her interest in the intersection of science and human behavior first sparked her interest in healthcare. She has shadowed physicians across a wide range of medical specialties and volunteered her time at free medical clinics, gaining valuable hands-on experience along the way.
As an active member of Sigma Theta Alpha, a pre-healthcare professional fraternity, she further developed her commitment to service and collaboration within the healthcare community. That same dedication carries into her work today, where she strives to make every patient feel comfortable and cared for.
Outside of the office, Smitha enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and playing pickleball.

Christina Stetson, MBA

Christina blends creativity, strategy, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care at Modern Eyes. She earned her MBA in Creative Disruption from Suffolk University, graduating summa cum laude, and holds a BA in Philosophy from Franciscan University.
With more than 20 years of experience in ophthalmology at The Ohio State University and Mass Eye and Ear, Christina has supported major academic, donor, and community initiatives. Known for her collaborative leadership and problem-solving skills, she champions digital innovation and uses data-driven insights to strengthen operations and engagement.
Committed to community involvement, Christina serves on the Executive Board of Friends of Norwood Center and supports women entrepreneurs through Women in Business MA. A Midwest native, she enjoys exploring New England with her husband and visiting family across the country.

Jeffrey Williams

Originally from Miami, Florida, Jeffrey never imagined his journey would bring him to Massachusetts, where he is now building a life with his family. Before entering healthcare, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that strengthened his discipline, adaptability, teamwork, and commitment to serving others.
Jeffrey is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Health on the pre-medical track at Framingham State University, with a minor in Neuroscience. His interest in science, medicine, and patient care led him to ophthalmology, where he is excited to develop his clinical skills and help patients feel comfortable throughout their visits. He hopes to continue his education in medical school and ultimately become a physician.
Outside the office and classroom, Jeffrey is a proud husband and father who enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys staying active, learning about medicine and technology, cheering on the Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes, and exploring his creative interests in photography, videography, and music.
